Jose Luis Ponce de León is an Argentine bishop in South African. He was appointed by Pope Benedict XVI as Titular Bishop of Maturba and Vicar Apostolic of Ingwavuma, in eastern South Africa.
It's a precarious place, where the HIV pandemic keeps spreading, and humanitarian aid and religious solidarity is an arm trying to help a population of 618.000 people.
From this background of needs, comes a voice of support for the Argentine national team. The desire is to have the team of Maradona in this country next year.

In eagerness to collaborate with the religious and social causes of Bishop Ponce de Leon, the Embassy of Argentina in South Africa came to Ingwavuma. Ambassador Carlos Sersale di Cerisano gave the boys shirts of our national team to play a football tournament. Ingwavuma team, in radiant blue and white, took the title by overcoming Corridonia team. They say it was a party.
