Father José Ponce de Léon was ordained bishop of Ingwavuma the 18th of April 2009 in Mtubatuba. The Papal Nuncio in South Africa, Archbishop James Green, was present, as well as numerous bishops of the country, the Ambassador of Argentina and the family of the new ordained bishop, who travelled from Argentine for the occasion.
