Servants of Mary to participate at their Provincial Chapter in Sierra Madre (USA), I had the privilege to visit with them the "famous" Servite High School. These are the words I shared with them at the end of the Mass."I was born in Buenos Aires (Argentina) and in 1994 I was appointed to South Africa. I'm a missionary by vocation. In other words I build bridges among peoples. That is why, as soon as I arrived this morning I met the president of the school, Mr Peter Bowen, and told him I'd love to build (or rebuild, because it was there in the past) a bridge between the Servite High School and our "Star of the Sea High School" at KwaNgwanase in South Africa.
We have many young people in South Africa and Star of the Sea has produced very fine people. Our area has been badly hit by HIV but our youth do not give up and believe they will be able to build a better future for themselves and for their brothers and sisters.

I'd love to build a bridge that would allow them to tell you their stories, their hopes and joys, struggles and challenges. But I would like you to share with them your own hopes and joys, struggles and challenges because we sometimes believe that here everything is easy and you face no challenges or problems.
Technology can help us build that bridge. It could be through Skype, Facebook or any other way. We might be geographically far away but we share the same Servite charism and, even more, the same faith!
I'm telling you this because, even though I spoke with the president of the school, unless you take this at heart, it won't happen. I count on you!
May God bless you all. As we say in the Vicariate of Ingwavuma: INkosi inibusise!
