Manguzi ChoirComputers for Malusi Omuhle! On Sunday 15 August 2010 we celebrated the visit of Mr Heribert Nasch and his daughter who had arrived from Germany.Mr Nasch is no stranger to the Vicariate. He has visited us before. This visit was a special one as Mr Nasch had just donated 15 computers to "Malusi Omuhle Primary School" ("Good Shepherd Primary School").
Sr Anna Rose, OP took them to the new computer room of the school. The computers had just been installed and security had been improved.
Mr Johannes Ndwandwe, principal of the school, called the children to say "thank you" in a special way: with songs and dances. The school had just won a local competition and brought those children to the delight of Mr Heribert and all of those present.
First vows
What a celebration What a colourful celebration of temporary profession of two of the Servite friars (brothers), Bros. Thabani Msane OSM and Sifiso Zulu OSM! Bro. Thabani is born at Hlabisa Mission/Parish while Sifiso Zulu is born at Mtubatuba Mission/Parish. This took place on the 20th of July 2010 at Msizi wamaKristo Catholic Church (Somkhele) which is an outstation belonging to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Mission/Parish (Mtubatuba). Leaving for Rome!
Following the steps of Fr Wilbert Mkhwanazi and thanks to a bursary given by the Propagation of Faith, Fr Sibusiso Ndlazi left for Rome last 29 June 2010. The Vicariate of Ingwavuma has now two diocesan priests doing further studies in Rome. While Fr Mkhwanazi is studying "Dogmatics", Fr Ndlazi will be doing "Canon Law". For the time being he is being introduced to the Italian language. He will be doing so for the next three and half months and then will start his studies at Urbaniana University. |
