What a celebration
of a temporary profession!

What a colourful celebration of temporary profession of two of the Servite friars (brothers), Bros. Thabani Msane OSM and Sifiso Zulu OSM!

Bro. Thabani is born at Hlabisa Mission/Parish while Sifiso Zulu is born at Mtubatuba Mission/Parish.

This took place on the 20th of July 2010 at Msizi wamaKristo Catholic Church (Somkhele) which is an outstation belonging to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Mission/Parish (Mtubatuba).

This celebration was attended by the Bishop of the Vicariate Apostolic of Ingwavuma, Bishop Jose Luis Ponce de Leon, IMC who was the main celebrant during Mass, the Vicar General, Fr. Declan Doherty, OSM who is celebrating fifty years this year 2010 as a Priest, Fr. Mel Loftus, OSM who is the Provincial’s Delegate of the Servites here in the Vicariate and he was the one who received the vows of the two newly professed Servite friars.

It was also attended by six Priests of the Vicariate including the Servite Priests, two Deacons of the Vicariate, Religious sisters working in the Vicariate, Servite students and seminarians, and many lay faithful from around Mtubatuba and Good Shepherd Mission (Hlabisa) where the newly professed come from.

During the same celebration, Bros. Thabiso Masinga OSM and Ayanda Tembe OSM renewed their vows to the Servite Order. Also Bro. Sifiso Mchunu OSM was received by the Bishop into the Order of Acolytes as required by the Church for the candidates to Priesthood.

Music was really awesome!

This celebration was concluded like any other celebration with the so called ‘last item’, that is, lunch!
