Friday 26 November was the day we have been waiting for. From the time we were contacted for the first time by Mr Frank from Bicycles for Humanity we have been waiting for this day to celebrate together.
As expected, Thursday late afternoon, just a few moments before the container would leave Durban, we were informed that same night it would reach Ndumo and it would be offloaded in the morning.
There we were, from 6 in the morning! Most of us had hardly slept because of the excitement of receiving the container. The truck had already arrived and we were just waiting for the Bishop to join us. By 7 no one was missing and the container was offloaded.
It is difficult to express in words the joy we experienced when the container was opened. We only regretted not having Mr Frank and Ms Jennifer with us to share that moment but we immediately took pictures and we sent them to them, just to make sure they knew we were thinking of them with a grateful heart.
There was no time to waste. After a short break started the process of taking the bicycles from the container.
